Author - Moya Simons
This is a powerful little book of a Jewish family and how the second World War affects their daily lives. The story is told through the voice of Rachel, the youngest daughter in the family. Their suffering, with the rationing of food, being forced to live in squalid, cramped housing and their final separation makes for a heart-wrenching account of life in Germany at this historic time.
A well - written account of what the Jews, especially children, had to endure under the reign of Hitler. A good novel to use for studies of this time in World history.
